Ernie Deyle, Vice President and Practice Leader - Shrink Reduction and Margin Recovery
Ernie Deyle has over 24 years of retail experience, both domestically and internationally, including operational management positions, back stage support positions in operations, merchandising, IT, loss prevention and professional consulting services.
Ernie is recognized as the industry leader in the area of shrink reduction, risk mitigation, SGA cost reduction and profit improvement. During his career Ernie has chronicled measurable results and reported accolades from several constituents such as financial analysts, industry leaders, earnings calls; published trade articles, university studies and internal and external industry recognition awards for his achievements in business transformation processes.
Ernie has served as the Vice President of Loss Prevention for CVS/Caremark during it’s storied financial turnaround from 2002 – 2007. During his tenure at CVS the Harvard Business Review recognized CVS/Caremark as one of the top 5 Loss Prevention Department in the world based on an international study on retail best practices in the loss prevention arena.
Additionally, Ernie has served the Kroger Cos, Fleming Foods/Scrivner Inc., and Homeland Stores in senior positions in the area of Loss Prevention, Operations, and Information Technology during his career.
In the professional services arena, both domestically and internationally, Ernie was the Global Leader for Profit Recovery and Sales Optimization services for Cap Gemini Ernst and Young. Prior to his service with Cap Gemini, Ernie lead the shrink reduction effort for the retail consulting practice of Arthur Andersen-Senn-Delaney.
