Christina St.Martin

Christina is an experienced manager with an extensive background in Human Resources, Training Development, Systems Implementation, Process Improvement and Change Management.

Key Accomplishments:

  • Assisted 1,100 unit Big Box Office Supply Superstore with implementation of a “Top 6” Growth Initiative; a complex, multi-channel strategy targeting 250% growth in competitive market segment within 5 years. Developed, tested and implemented processes, documentation and training for pilot and chain-wide rollout of main components of growth initiative. Led user acceptance testing and coordination of break-fix efforts in concert with client, vendor business and IT resources. Led project management through work plan development and maintenance. Developed and implemented an ongoing multi-channel communication strategy. Coordinated and conducted follow up visits and competitive shop studies, identified new opportunities, defined and measured pilot tests for additional products and services. Initiatives implemented will support 100% growth over the next year.
  • Engaged to expand a growing category with aggressive revenue and margin targets. Developed and implemented recommendations to support growth initiatives and led project management function through work plan development, cross channel communication and training. Conducted competitive shop studies, identified new opportunities, defined and measured pilot tests for new concepts. Initiatives implemented will support 100% growth over the next year.
  • Evaluated the processes, tools and structure/organization of the Merchandising and Planning & Replenishment groups to verify that they were positioned to support corporate growth and customer experience targets. Identified, tested and implemented solutions to reduce expenses and increase revenues through shortened cycle times, inventory reductions and improved sell-through. Provided training, coaching and tools to enhance the Business Planning process. Recurring bottom line improvement: $20 million.
  • Redesigned store processes to reduce time spent on non-selling activities in the receiving, store recovery, cash handling, and merchandising areas for an international retailer with over 450 stores across Europe. The engagement resulted in labor savings/reallocation of more than 6% while increasing customer facing time from the sales staff.
  • Developed and implemented a customized merchandising training program for managers, assistant managers and other key store personnel for a regional grocery retailer. The training was designed to improve ad planning, store signage, in-store displays and cross-merchandising. The training program increased overall sales and market basket/transaction size.
  • Designed and delivered training programs that resulted in increased employee satisfaction and retention, enhanced customer service, cost reduction, increased knowledge and technical skills. Implemented job aids to increase efficiency and accuracy. Coached managers on change management, performance appraisals, and aligning performance and accountability to business goals.

Christina has a bachelor’s degree (with honors) in Human Resource Development from Northeastern Illinois University.
